Welcome NaNoWriMo Participants! This is my second year participating in NaNoWriMo. Good luck everyone! Don't forget to sign my guest book. You can find a link at the very bottom of every page.
In a Land Far Away started as an ongoing journal. The only real problem with this was that the story was posted backwards. When new readers entered, they started with the latest update and read backwards though the story. It was really very annoying. I recently decided to take it up a step and give IALFA its very own website. Here I will be able to post everything in order. I will also be working very hard to add to my own web building experience so things may not work or look just so in the beginning. I am going to do my best to keep the webset I have chosen. I would like to ask that if anyone has trouble reading, they let me know so that I can work something out. If there are few complaints I would be willing to email the text to those having trouble. I could do this as I post the newer parts of the story so that you will always have the latest edition. I will leave an email link to the left on the side bar.
10/1/07 - NaNoWriMo will open for registration. http://www.NaNoWriMo.org/ 9/27/07 - I am finally back here working on the site after a very long absence. I just haven't had the time or energy to work on it. Hopefully, I can get this thing in order now. 7/20/06 - The first part of In a Land Far Away is posted. Click new on the side bar to read it! Created the help and new page and linked them in. So far everything is working okay. Yay! 7/19/06 - Today I am trying to get the site up and working. It has been very difficult but I think so far every thing looks great. I was unsure how to make a side bar content holder so I just went ahead and made a table. I don't know at the moment if the table will be visible... I hope not.
I added to the story, which you will be able to find it under the NEW link. As I add more I will drop the pieces in new onto another page that will be categorized by chapter. You will find a table of contents at the bottom of this page. If you are new and would like to start at the beginning simply click next, the very last link on the sidebar. That will take you to chapter one. When you have finished, clicking next will take you to chapter two and so on.
The Abyss is my personal website. There you can find just about anything you want to know about me. I will be adding somethings here and maybe later on just incorporating everything here. It depends on how things go. For now you can find my website at The Abyss.
Right now I am just focusing on getting this site up and running without too many issues. Heh... yeah. It would be nice if that was all I was working on. I know I have been away a few months. I am not currently working on IALFA. I am working, instead, on another novel called Born of Magic, two unnamed pieces that I lovingly refer to as WIP and WIP2, editing last years NaNo novel, as well as trying to get my plot outline ready for November, and trying to get my daily word count back up where it should be. If you want to find out more about my novel, Born of Magic, check out the poetry page. From here you can get to short stories and flash fiction. The flash piece, Existence, and the short story, Fire and Ice, are from Born of Magic. Fire and Ice is compiled from a series of events and given a nice ending to make a short story. This is not how it appears in the novel.
My journal is in the same place it has always been. HERE! I will leave a link to it along with The journal link on the side bar is where I post the story in old fashion blog style.
As always your comments on the site, the story, my life, whatever are welcome. I love to hear from you and hope you will leave at least a note in my guestbook. I hope you enjoy this site as much as I have enjoyed working on it!
